The Bespoke Process

Builtaround you.

From the first conversation to the moment it's on your finger, our process is as personal and intentional as the ring itself. Here's what it means to wear a Jewel Standard ring.

The Start

Whether you're in NYC or working with us virtually from anywhere in the world, our first step is getting to know you. We'll talk through your vision, your style, your timeline, and your budget, so that every decision we make from here is made with you in mind.

The Stone

With your vision in hand, sourcing begins. We search the market for stones that fit exactly what you're looking for. Every stone is hand inspected, because there are qualities a diamond carries that no certificate can capture. Only once a stone passes our standard do we add it to your curated selection.

From there, your top contenders are taken off the market for a few days while you make your decision, so your perfect stone stays yours to consider.

The Design

With your perfect stone chosen, we work closely with you to create the perfect design around it. Whether that is one of our signature settings, modifying an existing design, or building something entirely from scratch — every detail is on the table.

Once we've arrived at a design you love, 3D renderings are created for your review and approval. This is where your ring truly begins to take shape.

The Craft

With your design approved, the ring enters the most sacred part of the process — the hands of our master jeweler. Each ring is handcrafted in NYC with meticulous attention to detail. Each cut, curve, and millimeter is executed with an uncompromising level of craftsmanship around your stone.

The result is a ring built to the highest standard, made entirely by hand, and made entirely for you.

The Ring

After passing our final quality inspection, your ring is ready to meet you. The stone you chose, the design you approved, and the details you dreamed up are all brought to life in a single piece.

The Reveal

The ring is ready, now comes the moment it was made for. No matter what you have planned, we know it will be as magical as the ring itself.

Being a small part of your love story is the greatest privilege of what we do, and we mean it when we say we want to hear all about it. Send us your photos, your videos, your reactions. This is exactly why we do what we do.

Not at all. Many clients choose a signature design exactly as shown, or with small modifications. Bespoke is for those who want to design something entirely new.
We recommend starting at least 8–10 weeks before you'd like to have the ring in hand. Bespoke designs may take a little longer depending on stone sourcing.
Both. We source ethically mined natural diamonds and high-quality lab-grown diamonds, and we'll help you choose what's right for your priorities.
Absolutely. Sapphires, rubies, emeralds, spinels, and rare colored gems are some of our favorite things to work with — and a beautiful way to make a piece feel personal.
